Certifying dimension of quantum systems by sequential projective measurements

چکیده
This work analyzes correlations arising from quantum systems subject to sequential projective measurements certify that the system in question has a dimension greater than somed. We refine previous known methods and show two can be certified scenarios which are considerably simpler ones presented before and, for first time this scenario, we with strictly three. also perform systematic numerical analysis terms of robustness conclude performing random on pure qutrit states allows robust certification dimensions very high probability.

Nonequilibrium work by quantum projective measurements
We study the thermodynamics of quantum projective measurements by using the set up for the Jarzynski equality. We prove the fluctuations of energy change induced by measurements satisfy the Jarzynski equality, revealing that the quantum projective measurements perform a work on a measured system. When the system is brought into a thermal contact with a reservoir after measurements, the work don...
متن کاملQuantum Dimension and Quantum Projective Spaces
We show that the family of spectral triples for quantum projective spaces introduced by D’Andrea and Da̧browski, which have spectral dimension equal to zero, can be reconsidered as modular spectral triples by taking into account the action of the element K2ρ or its inverse. The spectral dimension computed in this sense coincides with the dimension of the classical projective spaces. The connecti...

متن کاملMonotonic decrease of the quantum nonadditive divergence by projective measurements
Nonadditive (nonextensive) generalization of the quantum Kullback-Leibler divergence, termed the quantum q-divergence, is shown not to increase by projective measurements in an elementary manner.
متن کاملSequential Products of Quantum Measurements
Sequential products of quantum measurements are defined and studied. Two types of measurement equivalence are considered and their relationships with compatibility and the sequential product are discussed. It is shown that a measurement A is sharp if and only if A is equivalent to the sequential product of A with itself. Refinements of measurements are defined and it is shown that they produce ...
